Jaime
I played KOTR and that was fun. Now I'm playing Republic Commando. What's the best Star Wars game out there? I'm a novice at these things. (I'm guessing Paladin has an educated opinion)

Paladin D
If you're including ALL the Star Wars games that have ever been made, I would say Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. The graphics are outdated now, considering it was made back in 1997; but, the single player campaign really immersed me in it's story (which was rather creative). Unfortunately, I haven't played much of any of the recent Star Wars games. I played the Republic Commando and Star Wars Battlefront demos, I used to play Star Wars Galaxies, but I haven't even touched KOTOR or KOTORII yet. Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy were pretty fun. I would say that Galaxies is my current favorite of them all, at the moment. Though Lucasarts will be releasing a Star Wars stragedy game in the near future, not to mention Battlefront II (which I personally played for a little bit at Celebration 3)! - Star Wars: Empire At War - Star Wars: Battlefront II Last but not least, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith video game looks pretty interesting. I watched some of the gameplay at Celebration 3 (Lucasarts had a booth setup), the saber combat looks stunning. ILM and Lucasarts actually teamed up to make this game, and even Nick Gillard (stunt coordinator for the Prequels) and Hayden (Anakin Skywalker) helped out with the saber combat. This was very helpful for the developers, and the game features realistic saber fighting, just like in the films. Unfortunately, IGN gave it a 4.7 out of 10, though I haven't read the review. I'm waiting for Gamespot's review, I'm curious what they have to say about it. Paladin D
Note: I'm mainly a PC gamer, but most of the newer SW games are avaliable for Xbox as well. Such as Republic Commando, KOTOR, Revenge of the Sith, Battlefront, and II, and etc. EDIT: I would skip Battlefront, considering I heard it's suffering from several bugs, thus moving people away from the game. After Republic Commando, try out KOTOR II. Edited May 9, 2005 by Paladin D
Jaime
How did I know you were gonna be helpful Paladin? Thanks! I must have sensed a movement in the Force! Republic Commando is okay I guess. So far it seems to be just a shoot'em up game. Although I like the feature of giving commands to the squadron. KOTR was fun but sometimes it just felt like you were stuck without any clues to get out. I'm really trying to keep games off my computer. I have way to many RAM and hard drive hogs with the programs I need for work. Anybody else have an opinion?

Dreamweaver
Ok, I thoght KOTOR was crack. I've played a little bit of KOTOR II (my boyfriend is addicted to it), and it has more detail than the first one. My boyfriend thinks its 100 times better than the first one! After hours of playing, he's only scratched the surface of the game.
waldo
KOTOR 2 is such a great game. Its among the best games I have ever played. The depth is great and everything is so detailed and deep. I also have to say that Star Wars Battlefront is another great one. A completely different game but very fun. There is also a sequel for it on the way that I want to play.
