But at the Papal Mass there was a some "liturgical dancing" happening on the sanctuary during the different parts of the Mass. I thought this was a liturgical abuse... but maybe JPII gave the dancers special dispensation? Totally confusing! anger at liturgical abuse is one of my weaknesses. It causes me to be so distracted during abused Masses that I find it hard to remind myself that God is still there, the consecration (for the most part) still occurs, and that I still need to be part of the sacrifice... you know? This is my body...This is my blood.. I wouldn't let them take the sacrament away from me personally. Though It is not a sin not to go to commuion I suppose. I really can't change anything, and turning the most important and solemn ritual of our faith into an exercise in angry nitpicking wasn't worth it to me. It's only taken... ten years or so, and I'm starting to not get quite so upset... Of course, hanging around Phatmass probably is going to get me back to irked pickyness again.
