What is the incense made out of?

My buddy loves the incense that the Catholic church uses. What is it made of and where can one get it?

Personally, it reminds me of funerals too much

while i think there are different types of incense, you may want to consider looking at christian stores, a lot of times they have random Catholic stuff like that

to be specific, i'm talking about the stuff that the priest uses around the casket at a funeral with the clickety-clacker.

I don't know if there is a specific type for funerals, but there are different kinds. It's made by burning rubbery sap from comes from trees native to the Middle East.

i formerly vote for the name of 'censer' to be changed to 'clickety-clacker.'

it's always a-clickin' and a-clackin'

I also love that the "clickety-clacks" usually come in three.

The CFR's in the Bronx used a kind of cement block with a little cavity in it in which to place the incense. i thought that was pretty cool.

CFRs!!! ahhh thats my family. When were you there??

When I was out on mission last summer on a Navajo reservation, the Church there used a clay pot and then a feather to spread the incense around... the did a bunch of stuff like that in order to keep some elements of the Navajo Tradition with the Catholic faith.
