You know, I never looked into Carmel, and I was thinking from the beginning I might either be Franciscan or Carmelite... Maybe I should find the nearest Carmel and make a short visit.

That would be cool if you could make a visit....just to check it out.
Also I am just wondering have any of you guys formally applied to Carmel?

I am applying to the Carmel in Ada Michigan....yes there cloistered and very traditional. They still retain the traditional habit and they are one of the few Carmels that still live the way St. Teresa of Avila wanted her communities to be.

That's so wonderful! I'm so happy for you. I am sorry I got cut off from you on AIM the other day. My comp. doesn't support it very well, on dial-up here out in the country. I wanted to hear more about it.

Does the community have a website?

Prayers,
Lauren

Hey folkies,
I though i would post this.....The Discalced Carmelites from the Monastery of St. Therese Clinton Township, Michigan (Archdiocese of Detroit) Although they do have a website, they do not have any pictures added. So I thought you guys would love to see these!

Lauren....

Is she at OLAM yet?

My sis and I got some beautiful mail from her today.

Good luck on your application with Ada.

Love and prayers,
Brendan

Oh my goodness, praised be Jesus Christ!

In February, I might be going to visit the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart!

Please pray for me!
