Era Might
This is the Madonna shrine in East Boston. The sign at the bottom of the hill: The plaza area: One of the stations of the Cross in the plaza area: The view from the plaza. Logan airport is right there so you can go up there and watch the planes taking off and landing: This is the only pic I could find in the actual Church. There's three huge mosaics at the back of the altar (as you can see). I wish I could find a wider view because it's beautiful. On the sides of the Church there are various little areas with their own mosaics or statues. The tabernacle has its own little area to the right, and there's two beautiful angel statues kneeling before it. There's also two statues of St. Paul and St. Peter. Piccoli Fiori JMJ
My parish was built in the 80's and is not very pretty... at all... You can at least see the exterior on the parish website: http://www.saintmargaretmary.org/ (as compared to some other churches in the Diocese... http://www.stmaryhuntley.org/tour.html http://pea-stmary.com/index.html) The parish at school is definetly a huge step up... Still, not the gothic or baroque that would be divine, but much better than what I grew up with... http://www.visitationparish.org/ No real pictures of the exterior though... But I have seen many beautiful churches... like the Cathedral in Cologne... most beautiful Mass I think maybe ever... But I think I should mention tha chapel at the Monastery... You can see them and more here: http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?s...c=25618&st=750#
