[quote name='FutureNunJMJ' date='Mar 27 2006, 05:01 PM']Which parish?  I think most of the parishes in the diocese are this way, which perplexes me considering what I know about Bishop Doran...

He probably inherited those parishes...the cathedral in Lincoln is hideous and we all know that Bishop Bruskewitz is solid.

I've been there a few times before... It was quite some time ago, like 2000... I can't exactly remember what the liturgy was like though... Not exactly picturesque...

St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton's looks just like an office building from the outside... I think you can only tell it is a Catholic Church is by the statues outside the front door... and maybe the sign that says that it is...

Hey, if they have an actual Crucifix, that is one step up from my parish, let me tell you...

their used to be a risen cross christ at St. Thomas but the monsignor made them take it down

the liturgy was gross. altar girls in flip flops and jeans. the priets did not speak english very well. after mass he came up to me. here is what happened:

Priest: i know you want to shoot your priest

me: .....excuse me??? :idontknow:

Priest: in paintball!!!!!!! take one of these flyers!

me: ok......

it was interesting.

i heard your diocese has quite a number of indults?

I don't know :( How might one find out?

(Dude... Bishop Doran was appointed to be Prelate Auditor of the Roman Rite in Rome by JPII about the same time I was born...)

Neato, thanks! I don't think I'll be going often to Joliet though... but thanks!

I think if anything, it may be Chicago if I do... and with a few friends...
