phatcatholic Posted April 11, 2006 Share Posted April 11, 2006 another awesome book: [img]http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0898706629.01._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-dp-500-arrow,TopRight,45,-64_AA240_SH20_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg[/img] this man has a freakin amazing command of the english language. its almost poetic how he describes the last things. actually, it [i][b]is[/b][/i] poetic. also, dr. martin has an uncanny ability to quote lines from famous works of fiction, especially from the works of our popular catholic authors (O'Connor, Chesterton, Tolkien, Joyce, etc.). they are always perfect for drawing out whatever point he is trying to make about death, judgment, hell, or heaven. i hear his classes are the same way (he teaches at FUS). highly recommended Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He speaks with such excellent command of language that you would think him pompous until you realized that he just really gets intellectually excited about God.
