Dear Friends,

Last Sunday, July 29, eight of our friars made their profession of final vows. We would like to share with you a slide show with some photos from the profession Mass, ceremony, and family reception.

Please pray for them!

Br. Philip Maria Allen, CFR
Fr. Raphaël Jacques Chilou, CFR
Br. John Bosco Mills, CFR
Br. Giuseppe Maria Siniscalchi, CFR
Br. Charles Benoît Rèche, CFR
Br. Bonaventure Mary Rummell, CFR
Br. Séraphim Marie Roycourt, CFR
Br. Jeremiah Myriam Shryock, CFR

I know it is probably true of all of them but Br Bonaventure is such a delightful soul. He is always so joyful and peaceful appearing. He inspires me even from a distance to be a more joyful soul for Christ. I was so happy to see he was one of the 8 to profess final vows.

Cool. Thanks, Hughey. Say, it says Aug.3, 2006... is that just a misprint?
I think so. August 3rd of 2006 was a Thursday. ;)

I know a CFR brother who juggles oranges at youth retreats. During supper.

How could they be anything but fantastic?

I love their beards. :D (Wait... that means I'll never have a CFR in my family... our men don't have facial hair to speak of :( ;) )

Br Mariano? He juggles. I know him. ^_^ (Here's from these parts. I knew him before he was a brother.)

There were three CFR's making retreats at Christ in the Desert while I was there. They have a residence in Albuquerque

That doesn't mean anything. There are some CFRs that don't have very long beards at all for the same reason you mentioned. ;)
