(Christopher Hewett) The late Christopher Hewett was a lifelong devout Catholic and regular lector at St. Victor's Catholic Church in Hollywood. I'm sure he read the passages beautifully in his perfect and melodic British accent.
Mateo el Feo
Another Catholic (not just nominal!) was Obi-Wan Kenobi...I mean Alec Guinness! Obi-Wan: "May the force be with you." Response: "And also with you."
mariahLVzJP2
Yes Gwen is Catholic and comes from a big Italian Catholic family. I find it endearing that she's always spoken very highly of that and more or less says there's no shame in being a straight arrow and coming from a good family. She did marry in the church as well. Though unfortunately she does espouse that "personally opposed" but pro-choice stance on abortion.
thats a bummer about the pro-choice stance She was on Ellen last year and said she was a Catholic girl...i loved that. She and her fam were from my parish...years ago
Ash Wednesday
Apparently people got angry at her at a pro-choice rally because she said if she got pregnant she wouldn't have an abortion. I hope that she and others (especially Catholics that should know better) rise above the wishy washy hypocrisy of people that advocate "choice" -- a lot of people that support "choice" throw a fit if someone wants to keep their baby, or speaks in favor of keeping a baby. That's exercising the right to "choose" isn't it? Like the whole Jamie Lynn Spears thing. People were actually criticizing her for keeping her baby. So basically they think women should have the right to choose so long as it's a decision they deem "sensible" in their eyes -- having an abortion. Okay I'm done ranting now. Back to you, Bob. Apparently, he was Byzantine Catholic.
let_go_let_God
I believe to add to the list Joe Mauer and Johan Santana of the Minnesota Twins. I can say that Joe Mauer is because one of my friends from college used to go to mass with him in high school. No clue if he's still practicing since hitting the big leagues. Ash Wednesday
Yup, Warhol's full last name was Warhola. I remember being very amused when I read his biography and it described him in his older years going to church and getting holy water and sprinkling it all around his Manhattan apartment (eccentrically cluttered with all kinds of expensive artifacts, junk and things.) Norseman82
I know Harry Lennix (Barbershop, the Matrix) graduated from Quigley South high school seminary in Chicago but there is question about his current beliefs (he supposedly had a flirtation with Islam).
