Featuring an interview with Jill Stanek, "Kill and Destroy" explores Barack Hussein Obama's support of infanticide in Illinois, an alarming decision that was opposed by every Democrat and Republican in the U.S. Senate.

If ever there was a need for a vomit emoticon on phatmass it is now. I feel so ill.

Leave it to Obama to be more pro-death than NARAL.

I really, really hope this is brought up by a moderator in the debates, because I am oh so curious to see how he can defend voting three times for this pro-death agenda.

I tell you, we are going the way of the Romans.... Leaving babies out to die. At least we don't put them in the woods for the wolves...

That video was so shocking because it was true...

God have Mercy on The United States and her children if Obama is allowed to be President. What a evil and wicked man.

obama probably just thought anything more than already existed... could only be bad. he said during the illionois legisature in voting on those things, that there were already laws in place protecting babies who had a chance at living. --- that means he essentially agrees with the basic idea of a infants born alive act --- anything he'd be against, he must've had a distinguishable reason for.

there were always something that distinguished the federal and state laws.

this was written about hte bill in question, long before it became politically expedient for obama to separate himself from his vote back then, and is from someone not related to obama's campaign:
Planned Parenthood wrote in a fact sheet, “SB 1082 & SB 1083 are NOT the same as the so-called “Born Alive Infant Protection Act” which was recently passed in the U. S. House. The federal legislation is considered to be a restatement of existing federal law. It does not amend or change current Illinois law. Federal law does not regulate abortion practice. That is left to the states. Therefore, it is state legislation that would affect abortion practice in Illinois. The package of SB 1082 & SB 1083 creates new provisions in Illinois law. Although the definition is similar to the proposed federal legislation, its application would have a different impact on state abortion law.” [Planned Parenthood Fact Sheet, 2/28/03]

also
What Senator Obama’s attackers don’t tell you is that existing Illinois law already requires doctors to provide medical care in the very rare case that babies are born alive during abortions. They will not tell you that Obama voted against these laws in Illinois because they were clear attempts to undermine Roe v. Wade. They will not tell you that these laws were also opposed by pro-choice Republicans and the Illinois Medical Society -- a leading association of doctors in the state. And they will not tell you that Obama has always maintained that he would have voted for the federal version of this bill, which did not pose such a threat.
The paragraph in that list is the last one.
When the senator sponsoring the IL bill tried to amend IL's paragraph ©, Amendment 1 below, to be the same as the federal paragraph ©, Barack Obama himself, as chairman of the committee hearing the bill, refused, and he then also killed the bill (click to enlarge).
Even when the bill was in accordance with Roe v. Wade, Obama voted it down.

He says the law would not have withstood constitutional muster. Legislative bodies have voted on issues knowing they may get shot down, but do it anyway in the hopes it passes without obstruction and at a minimum, to make a statement. Congress has done this knowing the president will veto was they are passing, but the bill's content is reported and the public becomes aware.

The fact he believed the bill would not have passed a constitutional test is more reason he should have voted for it. He would appear as not pro-death while satisfying his Planned Parenthood crowd.

 • 4 weeks later...

can anyone disseminate this rebuttal? it claims this
* At the time Barack voted against a bill containing language designed to protect infants who were “born alive,” such protection was already on the books as Illinois state law.[1]
* The accusations against Barack are so reckless that not even the Republican state senator who sponsored the bill will support them. In fact, he freely admits that “None of those who voted against SB-1082 favored infanticide.”[2]
* The bill was opposed by many legislators and groups like the Illinois Medical Society because of the unintended impact it would have had on other laws and legal precedents in Illinois.[3]
* Barack is on the record[3] saying that he would have supported a similar bill that came up in Congress -- but that didn’t pose a threat to a woman’s right to choose the way the Illinois bill did.[4]
