And so it begins... the beginning of the end.

I knew someone would counter with that.

Electoral college vote distribution: ND 3; MI 17.

Do the math.

Math isn't my subject.

Also, it was ND - 35, MI - 17 this year.

I'm guessing football. A slightly less rough and tumble sport than politics.

Pretty cool way to look at roughly where the race stands.

When you go to the site, above where it says "Obama 260" there are two buttons. One says "Times Map" and the other says "Your Map." If you click "Your Map" you can decide for yourself which states go to what candidate and what states are undecided.

At this point assuming all states that lean to their respected candidate go to their respected candidate, then McCain HAS to win Florida, Ohio, Virgina, Colorado, and either New Hampshire or Nevada. Failure to follow this specific formula loses the election. If McCain wins all the undecided states but loses New Hampshire and Nevada, then he and Obama tie at 269 and the election goes into the House of Representatives where Obama will win as the Democrats control the House.

I was very confident that McCain and Palin were going to pull this out but my confidence has been severely shaken. Although it is not over yet and it will not be over until after November 4.

We survived 8 years of Bill Clinton...I guess we'll survive 4 of Obama if he ends up winning.
