Why would they have removable feet?
cause the person who came up with those things are sick and does not think clearly (with all due of respect)?!?!?

i don't know!!!!!
the same person who modeled Barbie in real life she would not be able to bear children and she would have serious foot damage and she could hardly walk or even breath properly!! And i think there is another issue about how since her bust is so large and her waist so small she would always be falling over!!

you really wonder about some people

and then little girls are always crushed cause they aren't as thin or pretty as barbie!!!

Pax~

I suppose that's so that one can change the footwear of the dolls? I mean, it would be too difficult and costly to make doll sized footwear, wouldn't it? So I suppose the footwear is attached to the feet and the feet can be changed to change the footwear.

I have skimmed most of the article. Sadly I wasn’t surprised about a lot of what I read, but I didn’t know that Dora the Explorer has been made into a porn-star???

I think the fashion industry has to be held accountable too, they are Irresponsible- most top designers are not interested in modesty, they are into dressing Yummy Mummy divas, putting manscara on Dads, and accessorizing them with… their own children. You can have a Gucci handbag or ‘manbag’ on one arm, and a Gucci toddler on another. You can even buy a Gucci pacifier to shut her up while you pout.
I am so scared and frustrated for my 5 year old. She is up against a world that thinks chastity is "nice" but not realistic. I feel like in some ways that I am her only ally. I don't know how to teach her that the world is not right about this. I can hammer her all I want, but I feel like it is me against the world. And with other parents giving into the world, the battle has just became harder.
Totally feel this. Chastity is laughable in most of my social circles. :ohno: so I try to mix more with Catholic Mums, althouth I am a bit of the odd one out. I worry a lot about modesty for my girls. At the moment, all is well and good because they are at a conservative Catholic school, where the same messages that they get at home are reinforced. Besides, they are into Princesses and not the Bratz, and they are more than happy for Mama to shop for their clothes. They even want to look like their Mum, bless. But I know from my own bad example how easy it is to switch later on in life. I fear for them to make my same mistakes. :sadder:

Soon enough they’ll be looking to dress to impress their female peers, so I need to try to keep them around good examples, and good role models (there are actually a few in music, sports, and other popular scenes). I think we need a modesty revolution- but one that can be trendy-that doesn’t have girls walking around in tents.

Yeah, so that they can alternate between seven inch stilettos and dominatrix boots.

So that you don't have those annoying Barbie shoes all over your house. The removable feet, in my opinion, were a genius idea. :) They are huge, hard to lose, and easy for kids to switch.

I dunno. I don't LOVE Bratz, but I think they are CLEARLY cartoonish. Not like slutty Barbie.

Most cartoon characters have been "made into porn stars". Not by their original creators, or anyone with a license to use the characters. Japanese anime is particularly bad for it. However, I hadn't heard of it involving characters that look like children.

Yeah, I learned that from a few google searches gone bad.
I saw an episode of "Life on the Rock" on EWTN that had an awesome and a bit of a surprising title, "Are the tides changing?" Famous chastity speakers Jason and Crystalina Evert were guests and spoke about their work and said that contrary to what we might think, good is getting better and bad is getting worse (as in diminishing.) That episode really made me hopeful and I hope that nobody on phatmass gets too down on the fight for chastity a.k.a. for real love.

I'm out there changing the culture already. As some of you know I'm trying to start a chastity club at my secular college. I'm very close to having it officially approved of by the student counsel. We've got a potential sponsor, quite a few people interested, and others students who are psyched about it and are supportive, and others who seem curious about it. This is all impressive since there are only 350 total students at my school. (Not even kidding.)

There are a lot of people out there who really do want things to be different but they're afraid of being the only ones fighting for this or they don't know what else they can do, so they just stay silent about it. Jason and Crystalina's show on EWTN "The Pure Life" has an awesome episode called "Pure Pressure" that is encouraging to watch. Nothing is as radical as holiness. :cool!:  :kicking: :sword:

So instead of complaining about the fashion world, let's stick up and pray for it to change and change it ourselves. :punk: :))

This is AWESOME, tinytheresa! I'll be praying for your efforts! I totally agree with you. I posted the article to really set the tone that this is a serious problem, but also in hopes people would get fired up to fight back! Speaking of the Everts (I love them) and college chastity groups, I was listening to a recent interview with the Everts on Catholic Radio (catholic.com) and he mentioned how a friend of his started a chastity group at Harvard(!!). It was really popular and they did really interesting things. Like this one time, at the start of the school year, he put hersey kisses in each in-coming freshman girl's locker with a note saying "youre worth waiting for".

It was awesome, and ooooh man did people get pissed. So many radical feminists got so insulted. I guess it caused such an uproar that the guy who founded the group was interview on MSNBC.

Some people were wondering why everything is so focused on women being sexual objects for men. The more important thing is realize that because this is the situation, the responsibility falls on men primarily to do something about it. Thats not to say women shouldnt demand dignity and respect, but if men demand that women have dignity and respect it will be a much more profound witness. Ever since I got back rom WYD I've been planning on creating a men's group with just this goal. I'm sick and tired of seeing women destroy themselves because of the over-sexed world that caters to men and that men perpetuate. And I say this as a guy who has indeed perpetuated it by the things I've said and seen and done. Hardly any guy is completely innocent.

Adam should have gaurded is true love from Satan in the garden. He should have died to save her as Christ, the true man died for his bride the church. Now it's time for men to stand up and die for all women.

(Can you tell I'm passionate about this? :saint: )

That's because it's actually illegal. Even cartoon pornography with children is considered child porn.
Good thing? I think so. :) Now if only all of it was illegal.

This makes me so sad.
I work at a library, and you would not believe the amount of girls who get out Cosmopolitan magazine. And, if you've ever even skimmed the cover, it's absolutely vile. It makes me so sick that young girls are being sucked into this animalistic mentality. :(
I also don't understand why the female body is exploited more than the male body.
For one, the male body is more functional than attractive. I would speculate that men can be exploited just as much as women, but in ways that take advantage of their utility or usefulness.

Secondly, to draw a little philosophical reasoning from Theology of the Body, women are by nature prophets who embody the Truth more fully than any other creature (and, obviously, Mary literally embodied the Truth Incarnate), and since prophets in a fallen world are naturally going to suffer persecution, it shouldn't surprise us that fallen men have used their strength throughout history to persecute women and their bodies more often than to defend and uphold them. After all, if women are defended and upheld as embodying a sacred reality, then these fallen men would have to face repentance.

They were actually offended at the fact that they were told how valuable they were, that they were beautiful treasures? Odd, I find that radical feminists are really not feminist at all. They don't want to be respected and loved as they were meant to be. Afterall, isn't desiring to be respected, loved, and treated with dignity what real feminism is about? Hmm, my school is a women's college. Hmm, well bring it on. I'll show them what being a woman is all about! :numchucks: :clapping:
