Mary Had Labor Pains?

Revelation 12:1-2

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

My question here is this: Mary was kept from sin, right? Now, if labor pains are a result of the sin of Eve, (Gen. 3:16 In sorrow you will bring forth children). why would Mary suffer from this curse?

Just wondering is all...

Chapter 12 of Revelation is understood to symbolize Mary, the Church, and Israel. The Church believes that Mary did not suffer from labor pains because of her Immaculate Conception, however this verse can be understood in the regards to Mary's sorrow that she suffered and still suffers because of the disobedience of her children. The same can be said when you take the Church into consideration in this verse. The Holy Mother Church suffers labor pains because of her children, the Church faithful. Israel, we all know, has suffered greatly with "pains" throughout it's entire history.
