tinytherese
Two questions, first, what are all of the names of Christ in the bible? Second, how old was St. Joseph during the pregnancy of Mary? He is so often pictured as an old man in art, even in western Catholic art. I thought that that was an eastern orthodox belief, speculating that he was a widower with children before wedding Mary. Thy Geekdom Come
I couldn't even begin to give you all the names for Christ in the Bible, but here are a few: Christ (Messiah), Immanuel, Jesus, Son of God, Son of Man, "the Prophet," Word of God, Logos, Wisdom, Lion of Judah, etc. As for Joseph's age, there is no official teaching on the subject. Some traditions consider him a widower who married Mary and had children from his previous marriage. Other traditions consider him a younger man. Neither Scripture nor Tradition provides a clear answer. God bless, Micah
