"valid" And "licit"

Hey y'all,
I've heard these terms used quite a bit when referring to the pass and parts of it. I don't, however, know what they really mean.
Could someone define them, and if possible, provide examples of what they would be?
Thanks,
Mitch

Valid means that the sacrament actually happened. eg. The priest says the consecration prayers that are minimally acceptable. Illicit would mean that he changed prayers that do not affect the "confection" of the sacrament. I hope this makes sense. For example, having worship dancers during Mass would be illicit, but it would not invalidate the Consecration (unless they were saying the prayers and not the priest  ).
