Unless there's something more to it than the quote, it looks like nothing but a kind of lame wordplay that Obama supports abortion -- which he himself has made very clear.

My biggest annoyance with elections is how many people become uncharitable and closed-minded when discussing candidates, parties, and groups they disagree with. I fully expected to tell you to remove your bumper sticker when I clicked on this topic, but that one doesn't seem inappropriate to me.

Ash Wednesday

I don't think there's anything wrong with your bumper sticker.

I'd also say that the poster is almost suggesting that the issues of war and the economy hold the same amount of weight as abortion when pointing out that "both are in error."

Sarah Palin supports the morning after pill and contraceptives? Someone show me a politician that doesn't.

Eh, I wish that idea went both ways. Usually when conservatives such as yourselves speak of others needing to be "open minded" and more charitable, you are referring to the liberals and their need to come to your side, and not vice versa.

:idontknow:

If we're talking about me, I'm terrible at correcting or demanding better behavior from liberal/secular types. Too much of a coward.

Much easier to scold Catholics, since they ought to know better. :saint:

Bravo! Way to read too much into a simple comment that people IN GENERAL can get to be just plain rude and touchy this time of year.

There are these pro-obama stickers all over the doors of liberal professors at my university:

Why do I get this strange feeling that I'll be seeing that printed in black on red t-shirts and worn by kids that know next to nothing about him 40 years from now?

I don't think it's close enough to 'abomination' to be slanderous--it says to me that you want to stop abortion, and stop Obama.

Actually one of these days I'm going to get one of those Reagan ones for my husband. He wants it mostly just to be funny and thumb his nose at that sort of thing. He's European but he likes to stir the anthill and be an antagonist. :lol_roll: He'll say he'll buy it and wear it in the name of blatant capitalism, and at least be honest about it.
