I understand the intention of this topic... but I think suggesting that we "be afraid" is always unhelpful and wrong.
We should be afraid. ANYtime one party gets too much power we are headed for trouble.

I'm being nitpicky, I know.

I agree we should be concerned, possibly outraged, and work to avoid as much damage as possible. But, in my opinion, fear indicates a lack of trust and faith in God. I don't think Christians should ever be afraid.

Can't recall the chapter, verse, or book but "Work out your salvation with trembling and fear"?
I know. I know. Ive been telling everyone I can why Mr. Obama in the white house with Pelosi in the Senate would be a horrible, horrible thing. Nobody is hearing me. I would be willing to bet that the American electorate is more uninformed and ignorant today than we were a century ago. Its like everyone is in a daze and can only bleet "change". Gah, Im depressed. Im gonna go.
Yesterday on Prot radio I heard an interview a guy was doing in which he was asking people questions like "do you think obamma will really help the pro-life Cause" and "how do you think Sarah Palin will do as VP in an Obamma administration (I'm not kidding)". Oh ya, she will be a great VP. There is alot of ignorance out there.

If it's the clip I'm thinking of, I heard that too. I'm surprised you heard it on Christian radio, though, because I think it was originally on Howard Stern (I heard it on youtube). But yeah.... For the record, there was also a guy who was a McCain supporter who thought Joe Biden would be a good VP and definately supported McCain's plan to pull out Iraq immediately. So, there are ignorant voters on both sides... but yeah. Those people shouldn't vote. (Not that they shouldn't be allowed to, but they should recognize their ignorance and not do so-- I'm not calling for a litmus test on voting....)
...just remember that socialism has never worked in America and the American people will not pay for all the CHANGE Obama wants to bring.
Socialism has in part worked in the US. There are many socialist elements in our country, without which we would be in a worse state. The only hope for a society without a responsible aristocracy is a bit of socialism.
