Pontifex Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Everything I've read about Blue Laws and their origin make no mention of the Catholic Church. I read, "puritanical", "methodist" etc., nothing about the Catholic Church's involvement. However, I do think a restriction of alcohol sales after midnight to a certain time in the morning is a good safeguard. Not being able to buy alcohol on Sunday doesn't make sense to me.
