personally i like it. i may have to wait a little while longer on non life threatening stuff. (though so far i have seen no proof that private healthcare is quicker) but in every case i have been able to get treatment. since i am in the lower middleclass, we wouldnt be able to afford much of the medical treatments we have had, and my mum would probably have died by now.

i dont really see why so many americans are opposed to this system, as most dont have any real clue as to how it works other than that it has some "socialist" keywords in there! [sarcasm] cause we all know that socialist stuff(not communist) is completely devoid of any sort of redeeming quality! [/sarcasm]

well, i couldn't possibly in good conscience vote for McCain either. it would be against the law, see.
Thank you! I really think that there can be a healthy balance between depending on Goverment for total healthcare and killing the free market $. This market through "healthy competition" gives us some of the best medical care around. The problem is,the free market has got greedy, yet putting caps on it, limits the competition and creates stagnant advancements, which in my opinion has got out of control with all the cloning and new drugs that have as many side effects as the illness itself. I know there is a healthy solution out there, the problem is our freedoms can only be really free if people do the right thing and keep their own morals in check. That is simple if we didn't have to deal with our own human weaknesses, maybe there is a medicine out there for that!(besides beer)......if there is we will find it.......it may kill you though........

What really makes people run is just the simple fact that socialism is an infridgment of freedom through the dependancy of the goverment. Thus never teaching the people how to fish,it just hands them fish. It starts to create dependancy, then bad human nature steps in,on both sides of the coin. This is a pretty big topic I really could go on about, but I will not bore you. :unclesam:

i wouldnt say that it is like not teaching people to fish. considering that we all pay taxes that go into the medical system, it is really more like us having a cow and giving it to the government butcher to work with and distribute.

but since we have to pay into it(unless you are in the accepted poverty zone(under 20,000 a year in bc)) then that means they money for treatment is always there. like putting cash into a retirement fund, it ensures that it will be there when you need it.

I'm not voting for Obama

because I don't want the slaughter of the innocents
because I don't care for his socialistic economic policy
because I don't want him to buddy up with the terrorists
because I don't want my favorite prime time shows interrupted when he gets assasinated...besides national funerals for assasinated presidents are depressing...(I hate funerals...) and I don't want him celebrated like some sort of martyr...

All in all, I'm not voting for him because of his determination to continue the savage war against the unborn

...and he smells like "updawg!"
Geez, can I even count the reasons? . . .
Anyways, a few headliners:

1) Obama's promise to sign FOCA into law, which would essentially undo any and all state restrictions on abortion, and be the greatest disaster for the pro-life movement since Roe v. Wade

2) Obama's 100% pro-abort voting record, including opposing laws protecting infants

2) Obama's likelihood of appointing radical left-wing judicial activist "justices" to the Supreme Court, thereby (among other things) dooming any chance for Roe to be overturned

3) Obama's record as being the most liberal member of the senate

4) Obama's socialistic "soak the rich" tax plan, which would likely create massive unemployment, and prolong and worsen the economic crisis into a depression

5) Obama's disgraceful long-term close ties and support of far-left anti-American radicals, and his apparent discomfort with basic American patriotism

In fact, I've yet to see any one give a coherent reason why one should vote for this Obamanation, beyond the usual vague campaign slogan fluff-stuff of "Hope" and "Change."
Oops - looks like I really can't count the reasons - two 2s there!
That'll teach me to try to post and chat with Bubblicious at the same time!

I can't vote for Obama because I am more interested in the content of one's character than any other characteristic that they may possess.

I'm not voting for Obama because he's a Marxist Socialist idealogue, and I treasure my private property and wealth that is created through MY hard work and determination too much to have it stolen from me by the mob that is the federal government and Obama, and given to some lazy person without a job who doesn't deserve it. That's what charities are for....
So the official thread on why you aren't voting Obama, maybe it'll save us some spamming every thread with reasons.

Personally:
1) The Life Issue
2) He broke his campaign financing pledge.
3) Lack of experience (the same goes to Palin).
4) Intentional or not, his cult of personality is a bit intimidating.

Although there are a number of his views I support, those four tend to stick out as to why not.
1)I think killing babies is wrong
2) he talks about Change though with not direction (so is America going to Change from being free to communistic???
3)i think if a man makes a dollar he should keep it, its his-not the governments
4)Socialized Health care is just bad news (think about our schools and what in great condition they are right now that they are government run)(and then the government would start restricting the number of children because it does not want to take care of them all!
Women will be hurt!) Family's will be limited (yea help the poor DON"T TAKE AWAY MY RIGHTS TO CHOOSE MY OWN DOCTOR!!!!!
5)He has no experience (thing about Palin she is vp not p and I think she has enough for that)
6) I don't trust his "friends" who are terrorist
7) Which hospital was he born in???????
8) I don't trust ACORN and Obama's ties w/ it
9) Biden is so hypercritical
10) Whenever i see a "Obama\Biden" lawn sign i think of Osana Bin Laden
11)Obama is a far left radical and will let babies die (EVEN ONCE THEY ARE BORN so why would he care if you die too???

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that #10 has no logical argument-I agree!
