I don't think Hillary Clinton had seances in the White House.
Yeah, that's what I said, too. Then after I posted that I was looking at updates on Michelle Malkin's blog (she posted on the Obama/Nancy comment) and she said "Hillary Clinton had seances; Nancy Reagan was into astrology". I've never known MM to write sensationalist remarks just because she doesn't like someone (which is why she's the only conservative journalist blog I read), so I'm leaning more towards the greater possibility that it's true after all that Hillary had seances.

Weird.
Back on topic....are people really surprised by his self aggrandizement? After all, during the campaign he briefly used his own presidential seal on his podium until the ridicule got too much for him. You can see a picture of it here.
Yup, how well some of us remember. Hey, maybe that was like his "vision board"! (/sarcasm)
The term President-Elect is not an office as the Constitution makes no mention of it. The term arose simply as a gesture of respect for someone who has been elected President, and will be President, but has yet to be sworn in so he actually can be President. It's not an office with any power whatsoever.
Correct. We have only one president at a time, and at the present moment his name is George Bush.

I had no idea that there was an "office of the president elect." But from the "o force one" and mock Obama presidential seal, I would say that Obama is eager. Is eager the right word? Anticipatory? Anxious?

Ash Wednesday

Earlier this week I was angry about moral issues. I still am. Now I am really concerned about taxes and angry about fiscal matters. As a self-employed person, I already get really screwed over hard.

Oh man, for the first time in my life, I'm about to be seriously worried about taxes. I'm on the brink of taking on a new job for which I will be classified as an independent contractor, which I have never done. This is basically self-employment. And I'm nervous about the taxes already as it is--but wondering what will happen under President Obama to make it worse than it already will be.

Perhaps you will be one of the lucky individuals who gets to do compulsory community service.

Oh, Apo, you are really bringin' the LOLz today.

Funny thing about that is that I DID community service. I did a 2.5 year full-time, live-in program with the Missionaries of Charity (no stipend) and no government organization or liberal socialists preaching "social justice" had to tell me to do it. Dear Leader and his followers need to get real. Some of us--a bunch of us actually--serve our nation without being arm-twisted by any political agenda. Americans are already among the most generous people on earth and we have volunteer efforts out the wazoo. Sweeeeeeeeet.

What you did in serving others is commendable, but sadly it wasn't compulsory.

It is Obama's compulsory community service that will change the world.

I am sorry Madame your service does not count. It only counts when Dear Leader tells you where to "volunteer" and how to do it.
