Hey you two! No bickering in languages the majority of us don't understand! If you're going to bicker, at least do it in English so we can laugh at *ahem* I mean, with you.... :topsy:

AND FiereMargriet.

The Dutchies are taking over the world \o/

By... er... leaving the Netherlands to join convents. Right.

Working from the inside, we are.

PP and I share the ambition to one day [s]bicker[/s] converse in Latin. Or possibly Arameic.

The Netherlands will look upon our departures with puzzled silence. And maybe partying, because fewer devout Catholics makes life a wee bit easier for the rest.

And in thirty years' time God will send us back, like modern-day St. Bonifaces, and the country will not know what's hit it.

I might just go for the whole martyrdom-by-Frisian thing if it means I get to see the looks on their faces

I've been using that smiley an awful lot lately

Ja, da's waar. And I'll be working inside an American convent. We'll have people everywhere!

Latijn is heel cool. I noticed how it was actually a common thing in Belgium to study it in high school, if you had a Latin studierichting. I want to do Ancient Civilizations and Biblical Studies in college, so I'll have to take Greek and Hebrew as well. It sounds interesting, but...hard.

As for religious names, I'm fond of Sr. Mary Philomena of the Holy Spirit and/or of the Immaculate Heart.

It's fairly common in .nl, too, which is why I can get around if pressed :) I only took it for the first three years, though, I specialised in maths and sciences.

Now there's a mouthful :P I like it though - of the Immaculate Heart especially, good fit with St. Philomena!

I prefer a diocesan outlook on spirituality taking all of these in a combined spiritually taken with the people of the parish.
