Illuminating Night, o darkest Light
torn, divided, martyred with fright
In loving terror, my passions die
the weakness of my flesh supply
O ancient wound, o lies so cold
endlessly has the Truth been told
In solitude's halls my hope has grown
horrid errors of the past forlorn
And in darkness' midst, it was conceived
lo, a light from the Christ received
From healing's wings did salvation rise
within the valley of my mournful cries
Now in warfare tremendously wrought
Fighting what the Prophets fought
Nevermore a slave to the blackness of night
valliantly reaching for the God of Might
Before the arrival to the gates of peace
not a moment shall our sacred toil cease
