I am a few months short of sixteen and I have been discerning the Religious life for nearly a year and a half, all the while that feeling has only grown stronger. I hope to become a Diocesan Priest mainly, though sometimes I think about becoming a Franciscan. I plan to make a blog about my vocation soon.

I am a huge history buff, my interests mainly being Medieval warfare and ancient warfare (Meaning Romans mostly from the time of Rome's birth to its depressing fall), but I think my favorite history is Church history. I love learning about the history of the Saints, ecumenical councils, and all that good stuff.

I like to crack jokes a lot and I never get tired of hearing my humor. I also like to hug people a lot so if we ever meet keep that in mind. I am Irish, German, Russian, Welsh, French, arguably Scottish, and even a small bit of Cherokee, though you wouldn't know that if you saw me. I have a crazy fascination with Ireland and Irish history, as well as the amazing Irish band U2.

I am currently studying to get my GED and I would appreciate your prayers to help me get it. I need it to become a Diocesan Priest so it is very important and I must get it at all costs. After I get it I do not plan to go to a secular college, but rather straight to Seminary for eight years. I look forward to Seminary very much, especially since it has a very laid-back setting and most of the people there are so nice.

Though it has been noted by people that I am very mature I still have many shortcomings in this area and try to work on this every day. Again, your prayers are welcome. I must be a model of holiness if I plan to become a Priest and it seems rather daunting, but I know with Christ all things are possible.
