AND I will (hopefully since we haven't set a date/time yet) get to Skype with Sister(s)!! Obviously not quite as good as actually being there but better than a phone call. Technology is avvsome! Book recommendation: "To Father" Translated by Dava Sobel. It is a collection of letters to Galileo written by his daughter who was a Poor Clare. LaPetiteSoeur Posted May 26, 2012 Share Posted May 26, 2012 This isn't really vocation related but nuns are involved: In 16 days I'll be leaving to work with some Franciscan Sisters at a sort of camp thing for young girls in an inner city in the south! I'll be living with another volunteer and a sister for two weeks and work during the day at a women's center there. Four days a week I'll work with girls ages 9-14 (teaching them about leadership/empowerment/life stuff) and then help at parenting classes another two days a week! It'll be short (I have to leave because I'm going to a summer school thing overseas), but hopefully it will be worth it! On the vocation front, I'm still royally confused, but I'm in no hurry. I have a life here--school, work, scholarships, volunteering,etc--that is wonderful. I know I am called to religious life, but I'm not rushing it.
