Just think, you'll be there before you know it! Don't wish this time away. Savor these last few days that you have to spend with your family. You may think it doesn't matter now, but it does. Homesickness is commonplace among new postulants. There is a reason God wanted you to wait this long. I'll be praying for you! :)

I don't know where it comes from. I've never been in religious life myself. Maybe reading "Abandonment to Divine Providence" and "I believe in love" rubbed off on me. Lol!

I have a statue, as well, of Our Lady, Mediatrix of All Grace. It was actually the very first Catholic statue I purchased and I love it to this day. It reminds me of Mary's humility and absolute femininity. I love her so much. :)

she is truly beautiful! The one o have was the first statue I ever recieved and it used to be my great grandmas. Before she died I decided I wanted it and I ask if I could have it after she died. It's about four or five inches tall and I love it! It is definitely coming to the convent with me.

That's nice that you get to bring the statue with you. So many orders refuse to let postulants bring personal belongings with them other than clothing and a few photos of family. When a friend of mine entered the convent a few years ago, she mentioned that she was only allowed to bring photos. No books, holy cards, statues, etc. The order she entered has a very strict rule about poverty, and the Superior told her that when she entered, the only things she brought with her were on the list of requirements.

Only a week left?!?!?!? :clapping:

JTheresa - Wow - how time flies! May God hold you in the palm of His hand all the days of your life! :nunpray: Prayers for you in your vocation. Please remember me at the altar as I decide whether or not to apply for admission to the Carmelite community where I have been living for the past three months.
