Im thinking of spiritual presents to send along with you and so I shall be dedicating at least one Rosary to you as well as at least a litany or four! Im not kidding with the four litanies either since Im thinking one to all the Dominican saints and blesseds as well as Franciscan, Carmelite, and a general one. Heaven and Earth will be holding you in prayer. :nun: :nunpray: :nun1: :nun3:
May saints Joseph, Dominic, Thomas Aquinas, Juanito :smokey: , Ignatius :crusader: , (future saint) Fulton Sheen, Catherine, and Gemma and Therese be your special escort as you travel and always. May you always remember the words of Our Lady of Guadalupe
"My little daughter. Do not be distressed and afraid.
Am I not here who am your Mother?
Are you not under my shadow and protection?
Am I not the fountain of your joy?
Are you not in the fold of my mantle, in the cradle of my arms?

I, too, will not say good bye but rather see you later! Whether it be on Earth or in heaven.
:buddies: :cheers2:

Call me stubborn. But, I refuse to say good-bye. Period. :stubborn:

Yes, L-C is going to a priory in England. England is not the moon. There are multiple flights to England every day from the U.S.

Plus, L_C will have some home visits.

Things WILL be different, on both sides of the pond. But, good-bye. No.

Indeed - the nearest airport to the Priory is Southampton, and from there it is a mere 20 minutes through gorgeous countryside on the train to Brockenhurst. if you find it easier to arrive at Heathrow, you have two options. The expensive option is to catch the Heathrow Express train to London Paddington and then the Bakerloo Tube line to Waterloo before catching the train to Brockenhurst, where one of the Sisters will meet you if you let them know beforehand. If you're like me, and you baulk at paying £15 for a 15 minute train journey that will save you all of ten minutes, get the Piccadilly Tube train to Green Park station, change there for the Jubilee line which will take you to Waterloo station where you catch the train to Brockenhurst.

Or you could hire a car and drive, but, speaking as someone who used to be a local to the area, I wouldn't advise it. The wildlife has a habit of appearing out of nowhere (you've not lived until you've had to call your dad and roadside assistance because you totalled your car by hitting a badger, which promptly walked off unscathed) and the country roads can be tricky if you aren't familiar with them.

L_C,
I wish you the best of luck and be assured of my prayers. Congratulations!
May God bless you in this new journey of yours and be ever with you.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! I didn't get to say my last good-bye.

I hope she is having or had a fantastic flight and entrance. I'd love to see her expression. :)

I spoke with LC yesterday about 2:30pm. She called from the Charlotte, NC airport (layover... waiting for her flight to England at 6:30pm).
She asked me if I'd tell y'all that she tried and tried to get onto Phatmass early yesterday and Tuesday night, but the site wasn't coming up on her computer.

She said to tell y'all "Thank You!" and that she's praying for everyone!

I told her that the Holy Father 'paved' her spiritual path to England through his recent visit.

She sounded excited. LC will be an energetic, Dominican voice of the Gospel there in England.

(When I talked to her she was having a pumpkin ale... a last toast to the U.S. and a mini celebration. I raised my water glass in my office to her... in a virtual toast!)

Letters will be most welcome... especially with colorful stickers on them! Of course, if your travel plans should include England... visitors are welcome!

Last night I went to Eucharistic Adoration at a Dominican church --- offering prayers for her safe journey. I thought the location was fitting.

---- Sorry that it's taken me 'til this morning to write... just swamped.

God bless!

How beautifully wonderful.... I guess this was a last sacrifice God asked of her here on Phatmass! I will miss her very much for she is a true vocation!

God bless!
