What exactly does D.E.F. stand for? I couldn't find the order that it is associated with. But then again my interweb research skills are not that great.

I have been having a search and found one possible suggestion that it is Daughters of the Church - on the list I saw, which I can't now find again :hmmm: they were shown as D.C/D.E.F but I don't know what it would actually stand for. On the Daughters of the Church website they do seem to wear various habits in pink but none exactly the same as hers, and I have not managed to find anything that confirms that Sr Mary Lucy is in fact a Daughter of the Church.

So really, I'm another 'I don't know' :hehe:

Found it! D.E.F. stands for Daughters of the Eternal Father. They are in Omaha, Nebraska and right now do not have a web presence.. I'll see if I can get more info on them.

Found one teeny little thread on yahoo that says:

A new set of pink sisters--pink and white adaptation of the Nashville Dominican habit: white tunic, pink scapular and capelet, pink veil for professed, white for novices; black belt with five decade rosary, little red heart probably on the capelet. Head and shoulders photo of the foundress:

I knew it! :cloud9:
