That's good enough for me. Thanks!

I went back to the DSMME site and looked again at the date of the picture that confused me. Even though the article right above it was from 2012, the picture and article just below it that I was looking at was from August 2011. Whoops!

This is the Bio for Leah - She is Catholic

From a young age I was enamored by religious life. I frequently saw the Sisters of Life at my home parish and attended conferences held by the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate. There were several points in my life when I recognized that God was the only one who could satisfy my heart’s every desire. During prayer, I often heard Jesus asking me to become a Sister, but I would feel fear and back away. The more I received the invitation, the more difficult it was to ignore. It only seemed fitting that I should give my life to God, as Jesus had died for me and gave Himself to me in the Eucharist every day. I felt conflicted during high school and college, because marriage was also very appealing. After my first year of college, I realized that my peace rested in doing God’s will. Within a few months, my sister and I went to the November retreat with the Dominican Sisters of Mary. She got her papers and entered the following August. Contrary to what I had expected, God called me back for another retreat and I asked for papers as well. I am extremely grateful to those who have been influential in my journey, particularly my parents, Mother Agnes Mary Donavan, Fr. Johannes, and Fr. Thomas Ward.

Congratulations to SheisCatholic, and to her sister. The future of sisterhood looks promising. Let's set this world on fire for Christ.

Thank-you to Chiquitunga and Pax for the pictures? I hadn't realized before this that postulants were also going to Indiana. But, it makes sense, since these are Sisters that (as I understand it) will be moving to Austin, TX once the facilities are built. So, all the future Texas Sisters will be together from the beginning.

I wonder whether Sister Leah's blood sister (Sister Incarnata, formerly Anna) is also in the future Texas group. One of the novices in one of Pax's photos looked like it could be Sister Incarnata, but it was very hard to tell. Another one of Pax's photos has a clearer image that is more obviously Sister Leah.

It seems as if Sister Leah and Sister Incarnata are close, at least that was my impression, based on two videos Sister Leah made when Sister Incarnata first entered, as well as the fact that Sister Leah and Sister Incarnata went on their first DSMME retreat together.

DominicanSoul--Maybe you can answer this. Do you know if the DSMME Sisters have some say or choice in whether they are transferred to Texas or remain in Michigan for their formation? Or, is the decision made for them and where they go based entirely on obedience? I'd think that preferences might have some weight on decisions like that, but I suspect every Order and Community is different, and I have no idea how the DSMME's would handle such a decision.

However the decision was made, in the pictures the Sisters look happy to be in Indiana!
