Anneline have you thought about approaching a school of film editing..college dept of that nature etc in the area of where you live?! maybe instructor's and students would be open to helping as a project. Also where I live,our pawn shops have tons of VHS players for really cheap for those that dont have one. We also have places here that convert VHS tapes to Dvd. you might too. Just ideas...:-)

I will tape part 2 tonight (midnight) on my combo V/VHS/DVD. I will then call the business that can then transfer it onto a DVD disk..and find out the cost..it wont be very much. As a matter of fact..Ill do that today..and let you know the cost. How many DVD's are you interested in having????

Nikita,  Thanks for recording it.  Why not hold off till we see if we can get the VHS recording transferred more easily - a couple of people are working on it right now.  There's not much use to have half of it I am afraid.... but let's see what we can do.

 

I really appreciate that everyone is trying to help on this - and the idea of the film school is a great one -- now that I think of it, might even have a contact out here......

 

Will keep everyone posted on what happens.....

 

Hopefully one day when it gets to youtube you'll all know you had a hand in helping with this.....

Ok. Im still going to record it just in case. ;-) I watched the first part last night. I wish I would have known..anyway...Good Luck and let us know how it goes. As far as EWTN goes...maybe if we started a petition and get mass signatures and presented it to them..that might help. Im really disappointed in EWTN for being so stubborn and selfish.

Btw- it is on again on Thursday at 3:30-4:00 PM PST It doesnt state if it is part 1 or 2..and again on Friday 12:30-1:00 am So maybe one of them will be part 1 again. Yay!!

He'd reather just let it go if it comes to that, and I want to honor his wishes.

 

If we can get it in DVD format and/or on Youtube, that woudl be great... but otherwise, he just wants to let it go.  Thank you for honoring his wishes. Please.

No worries. It was just a thought. Any luck yet? I taped part 2 .(when I inserted a VHS tape in...it got caught and stuck. So I had to pull it out. It was old anyway) The second attempt..I thought it was recording..(at midnight) something happened and I discovered that it didnt record. The third worked. lol Im not home to check on the last recording to see if it was pt1or pt2. If it was pt1 then I now have both. Althought reversed. Im sure the place that does transfers can fix that. Wouldnt it be great to be able to send you Saint John the Cross on DVD?! ;-)
