Here are Poor Clares in Habits!

I took this picture when I was in Assisi recently. It's one of my favorites. :)   Apparently, the Franciscans couldn't resist window-shopping at the leather-sandals store. :topsy:

Habit on the right, really nice. Wish there were a men's version. Cistercians come pretty close I guess.

I know this Order well. They are Nuns of Perpetual Adoration, founded by Blessed Mary Magdalene of the Incarnation.  They have Monasteries around the world - Italy (where they were founded), Spain, Austria, Germany, Kenya, the Holy Land (Bethlehem), Mexico, South America, and four in the United States - two in El Paso, Texas, one in San Francisico, CA, and one in Sioux Falls, SD. Their habit is white with a red scapular.

There are Monks affiliated with them.  They were founded in 1991 in Mexico and now have several Monasteries in Mexico (three, I believe).  Their habit is similar to the Nuns, white tunic, but with a burgundy scapular. They are a public association of the faithful.

Immersion is the best way to learn!   :)  I believe a few of them speak English.

Maybe after a few years you can bring them to the United States  Canada.

Fixed.   :smile3:

Sorry, I know this is derailing the thread... Here
