This thread is quite old.  They have changed their veils, and have updated technology  ( lay people do help to manage the social media) but I know they try to answer emails within 24 hours if possible.  Check them out http://nunsforpriests.org

I noticed that they wear black veils when they go out, not sure if its still a current practice.

I do like the white veil after final profession - forever the novice and always the learner.

My cousin was a novice in a religious order and when she obtained permission to see her brother in the military off to Vietnam, at the airport, she wore a black veil temporarily for that occasion only.   Perhaps these religious are the same.
