Luigi Posted June 13, 2019 Share Posted June 13, 2019 St. John Paul II visited St. Louis in 1999. The youth event was in the Blues' arena. They gave His Holiness a Blues hockey stick and a jersey. And the St. Louis fans have come up with some terrific memes about the Stanley Cup win. (If you're not a hockey fan, Binnington is the Blues' goalie - and he's in his rookie year.) Didacus Posted August 21, 2019 Share Posted August 21, 2019 It was a fantastic series and an incredible story for the Blues. January 1st they were in last place o erall in the standings... then... Biningtom showed up. They had gone to the finals 3 times before and were swept each tkme! Thay's right, tjey lost 12 games in row i the finals until they won they forst final's game this year on the waynto won the stanley cup. And the last time they were in the fonals was against Boston (Bobby Orr for ypu hockey fans!!!), and they won the cup this year against Boston. Nifty trick nearly 40 years in the making.
