Today the twentieth-century French geneticist Jérôme Lejeune was declared Venerable by Pope Francis, advancing his cause for canonization. He devoted his life to the research of Down syndrome and furthering the pro-life cause.

Jérôme Lejeune, Dorothy Day, and Léonie Martin (Sister Françoise-Thérèse)  are three modern figures for whose canonizations I’ve been praying for a long time. Pray that the Church deems them worthy of canonization!
