I agree, just as  truth without niceness is false.

Truth has nothing to do with niceness.  Truth doesn't become false just because somebody uses it even in the worst way possible.  If that were true, there could be no objective truth; there could be no Catholic Church; there could be no God; there could be no charity or love or virtue or even kindness.

Truth stands on its own, because it comes directly from Jesus: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life". John 14:6

Truth can be as kind as it can be cruel.  Indeed, to be nice is not truth.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a statement that the storied franchise, once a pioneer for the racial integration of pro baseball, is completely down with hate and bigotry when it applies to people of the Catholic religious faith.

On Monday, the MLB team shockingly reversed course after banning a group of transgender drag queen nuns over outrage from Catholics who were aghast that the team would reward their sacrilege. They also apologized to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, reinviting them to receive an award before an upcoming Pride Night game at Chavez Ravine against the division rival San Francisco Giants next month.

To be persecuted, mocked etc. is a mark of discipleship of The Lord, fruitful discipleship.  And so I thank sincerely those who do award such honors.  Thank you:like2:

This has been, and will always be, true for those who are persecuted for the right reasons.

*    SALT LAKE CITY (AP)  Utah district bans Bible in elementary and middle schools ‘due to vulgarity or violence’

The Good Book is being treated like a bad book in Utah after a parent frustrated by efforts to ban materials from schools convinced a suburban district that some Bible verses were too vulgar or violent for younger children.

:think2:-     Meanwhile, Jill Biden Dismisses Parental Control of Books in School Libraries: ‘This Is America. We Don’t Ban Books.’

 According to Jill Biden’s logic, the parents who protested Loudoun and Fairfax County public schools were out of line—and un-American—for wanting to remove pornographic and ideological material out of their kid’s libraries.

*    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee’s first-in-the-nation law designed to place strict limits on drag shows is unconstitutional, a federal judge says.  “There is no question that obscenity is not protected by the First Amendment. But there is a difference between material that is ‘obscene’ in the vernacular, and material that is ‘obscene’ under the law,” Parker said.

-      :think2: What possible logic was used to justify sexually grooming underage children as a 1st amendment right of pedophilic 'entertainers'?

*    After School Satan Clubs gain popularity amid legal victories.   After School Satan Clubs have been steadily increasing in popularity and are not likely to slow as their supporters rack up media attention and legal wins fighting for free speech.

-   :think2: Have we really reached the point where there is no allowance for moral judgments or the difference between right and wrong or good and evil? Satan is the definition of evil, darkness, and lost souls.

No one is protesting Pride Night.

They are protesting against the group of haters being honored.

BTW: The stadium would have normally held at least ten times as many people at the time the “Sisters” were to be honored. The fact that there were easily 50 times as many people outside the stadium protesting as there were inside watching the ceremony –

A truth in the context of a lack of Charity, is only half the truth.  Not truth per se.

I don't know if I agree with this or not. It seems to me that the Truth is the Truth is the Truth, no matter what, where, when, or how. For example, the sun rises in the east - that's all there is to that. Another person can like it, lump it, or take it to hell on a Harley, but that doesn't change the fact of the matter.

Now, if I'm trying to get someone else to realize and accept  the Truth, how I approach that someone, and how I present the Truth, could very well have an effect on whether or not the other person is willing to accept the Truth as I present it. I could be insistent, confrontational, superior, or some other kind of offensive, and the other person might reject the Truth - not because it isn't true, but because I approached her without the charity that you referred to above.

So to my way of thinking, there's the Truth (unchanging) and there's how I present the Truth (many different ways, all of which should be based on charity). You know what I mean?

The only time the truth is wrong or sinful is when it constitutes detraction or gossip, or when it is otherwise inappropriate to know the truth (e.g. a child doesn't need to know everything about sexuality, and it becomes sinful for an adult to relay information about that).

Quote

St Paul 1 Corinthians Ch14:  [1] Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
[2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
[3] And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
[4] Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
[6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
[7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
[8] Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
[9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
[10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
[11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
[12] For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
[13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
