Two new postulants for the Carmelites of the Holy Face.

This community are not in good standing. They're not a part of the Carmelite Order in Ireland or the Irish association of Religious orders and the local bishop has said that the community does not belong to any religious community within the Irish Catholic Church.

I have read a bit about Mother Irene. But does a Catholic priest say their masses. Its all a bit worrying. Do these new postulants know they do not have approval.

Knowing little about this, I only recall only something I read during lockdown: they attended an exorcism done by an SSPX priest, not in communion with Rome either.

I havent heard of these SSPX priests so googled it. Seems a bit confusing as to their position re the church. One article said the masses were valid but illicit. Whatever that means.
