Roe v Wade may be overturned?

If the abortion issue is returned to the states then it’s back into the hands of voters. 
 

Next step would be to establish personhood to the unborn so they have the same rights as the rest of us.

I'm worried that this was leaked specifically to get it out in the open so that the justices on the moral side of this decision would then feel all kinds of pressure.  That kind of tactic has worked in the past.

They could also decide to leave the privacy issue alone and just put the issue of personhood back into the hands of the states, essentially doing the same things as overturning Roe vs Wade. Then, the states decide when an unborn human becomes a person, essentially banning abortion based on that.

Until today the Scott v. Sandford was widely considered the worst decision ever rendered by the Supreme Court.

 

Abortion has been cited in particular as the most egregious example in the court’s history of wrongly imposing a judicial solution on a political problem.

I had seriously thought never tosee to day whwre the unborn would be protecred under their respective sanctity of life.

I remember so many people were against voting for Trump arguing that Roe vs Wade would never be overturned no matter what Trump did. Despite all the bad, this is some good that might come from it. We'll see.

I am now completely convinced, within 10 years, abortion will have completely disappeared from the world.  As will have all sins that cry out to Heaven.

There is much hope to be had, regardless of what happens with the Supreme Court now.  But I sincerely hope and pray they stick to their draft findings.

Unfortunately we are going in an opposite direction in Canada.  Assisted suicide is getting to be common practice and has largely already begun to be abused in despisable ways...

by the way, did you all know that today's the   feast day  of Cardinal John O'Connor? He was the Cardinal Archbishop of New York and the founder of the Sisters of Life, which he instituted as a witness to the dignity of human life as a gift from God... the news of this day is definitely not coming as coincidence…

Other potential scenarios:  

1)  A state where abortion remains legal (such as Illinois) is taken to court to have abortion outlawed because it violates the unborn baby's right to life.  
2)  Congress passes a law outlawing abortion nationwide, pro-aborts challenge it in the courts, Supreme Court keeps nationwide ban on abortion.  
3)  Congress passes a law codifying legal abortion, pro-lifers challenge it.  Courts may:    
a)  Rule it unconstitutional because it violates states' rights and return it to the patchwork of state-by-state laws.    
b)  Rule it unconstitutional because it violates the unborn baby's right to  life, thus effectively outlawing abortion nationwide.

The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, however the Constitution clearly and unequivocally does state that that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

 

all men (mankind ) have the RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
