A premature baby is one who is born too early, before 37 weeks of pregnancy. Each year, about 1 in 10 babies in the United States is born prematurely. Premature babies may not be fully developed at birth. They may have more health problems and may need to stay in the hospital longer than babies born later. Thanks to advances in medical care, even babies born very prematurely are more likely to survive today than ever before.

Your baby’s health care provider may use these terms to describe your baby’s birth:

Late preterm: Your baby is born between 34 and 36 completed weeks of pregnancy.
Moderately preterm: Your baby is born between 32 and 34 weeks of pregnancy.
Very preterm: Your baby is born at less than 32 weeks of pregnancy.
Extremely preterm: Your baby is born at or before 25 weeks of pregnancy.

Early term: Your baby is born between 37 weeks, 0 days and 38 weeks, 6 days.
Full term: Your baby is born between 39 weeks, 0 days and 40 weeks, 6 days.
Late term: Your baby is born between 41 weeks, 0 days and 41 weeks, 6 days.
Post term: Your baby is born after 42 weeks, 0 days.

Six weeks LMP: Texas and Oklahoma are the only states that have laws in effect banning abortions when cardiac activity has been detected in an embryo, which is at around six weeks.
20 weeks: Mississippi is the only state that currently bans abortion at 20 weeks of pregnancy. The Supreme Court is currently considering the state's 15-week ban, which has been blocked by lower courts since 2018. That case could determine the future of Roe.
22 weeks: Fifteen states ban abortions at 22 weeks of pregnancy.
Over half of states have restrictions in place only at or after viability, or have no limit at all.

24 weeks: Five states ban abortions at 24 weeks of pregnancy.
Viability: Twenty states ban abortions after the fetus is considered viable. Some laws that don't specify a limit say it's up to the abortion provider's "judgment" to determine whether a fetus is viable.
Third trimester: Virginia is the only state that prohibits abortions in the pregnancy's third trimester, which starts at around 25 weeks, per Guttmacher.
No limit: Six states and Washington, D.C., do not impose any term restrictions.
Of note: Many states with restrictions have exceptions, including to preserve a pregnant person's life or health, though they are often narrowly defined.

Question: in States (6) where late term abortion is unrestricted and a preterm baby is born at  34 weeks.  Is it technically legal to terminate?
If it’s okay/legal when the baby is in the womb at 34 weeks then why not When it’s not in the womb Between 34 and 40 weeks?  After all it’s only a blob of tissue at that stage of development in the womb, according to the laws In the particular  State that allows such things.

I've posted 11 threads in the Debate Table. The purpose is to stimulate discussion of, and generate possible responses to, common arguments in support of abortion. We can give more accurate and true responses to these arguments if we think about them in advance and practice saying them - we'll have the words ready at hand rather than thrashing around for the right words.

My list is by no means definitive. My responses are by no means definitive. If you have other common arguments you'd like to refute, or other arguments to add to mine, feel free to do so. If you don't like my refuting arguments, you don't have to use them.

Ive commented on several of them.  I aimed at enriching your logix and points, re-enforcing them.  You are on the money on several of these points - carry on!! And God be with you.

The democrats are fighting the overturning of R v W,  tooth and nail
Even Threatening to pack the Supreme Court if they don’t get their way.

it was reported today that there is a 70% shortage of baby formula.   The government has its priorities and clearly human reproduction is not one of them

There is absolutely no excuse for not having babies formula available in the land of milk and honey.   It’s unconscionable that this could happen in America.

Please keep those who work in pro-life ministries in your prayers. The rage of those who are pro-abortion is already being seen. And they obviously have no regard for human life. 😔

Decision is now official!

Hope the 'night of rage' talk is just talk, but there isbreal reason to fear.

Prayers for all those who may be considered targets of the pro-death people.
