The Freedom To Pray

ForHimAlone

Recommended Posts

For my Catholic Morality course, we have to make posters with a "Freedom To ...." theme. I chose "Freedom To Pray." I'm looking for some pictures of either priests, nuns, monks, or families at prayer, especially with the rosary. Anyone know where I can find some really good pictures for this poster? I already have quite a few pictures of nuns praying.

The only place I know to recommend would be the Internet.

Possible search phrases: families at prayer, priests at prayer.

:idontknow: Sounds like a tough assignment. Let me get off this thing and see if I can find anything to help you.

i would look on the websites of variuos orders. Like Benedictine, Carmelites, Franciscans, Dominicans, Augustinians. Trouble is that i can mostly only find pictures of women's religious in prayer. For some reason, the majority of men's orders, don't have pictures of that. But keep looking.

:scratchhead:

What I am having problems with is finding pictures of families at prayer.
This does not bode well for society.

For men and women's communities there are pictures galore.
But for families....having problems finding any. :ohno:

Thanks, everyone! I've now got a bunch of great pictures of nuns, monks, and priests, but I simply can not find a family at prayer. How sad!

Well, I finished it today. It wasn't made on the computer. I had to cut out images and put them together on a piece of tagboard. I was really happy with the result.

It says "Freedom to Pray." Beneath that I have a quote by St. Teresa of Avila on prayer. All around the poster I have pictures of many people praying: several nuns, monks, a prostrated priest, and some of those family pictures. It turned out really well. Thanks for all of your help!
