I recognize some of those sisters.
so pretty. white on white on white. like in heaven.
awww my new favorite nun habit. soo cuuute. white and some blue, just like Our Lady. and the cape drapes straight down the front, like a princess from Cinderella or midieval times, and like the Fatima statue in Fr. Corapi's series on Fatima.

it's so adorable. if everyone wore that the world would be a happier place :D:
That's kind of funny... the habits (the style of veil) is one of the things my sister likes less.
These are pictures from Sister Susannah's profession (she's their one American sister).
And this is from Frère Yannick's clothing.

actually the head veil does look.. interesting. looks like something you would wear while doing labor to tie up the hair. what i do like is the white cape on the blue dress.

if i were to ask a woman to marry me on bended knee, i'd wish for her to look just like this when i pop the question..

its a Veil type that would be more of an ancient Middle East way.
Yes i know what you mean, when i stayed with them in Montreal(Bro's) at their foundations beginning ,while working, and in Paris,i noticed the Sisters, especially with longer hair, were constantly fixing and retying the back..but! i do see that in old Jerusalem/Palestine, the consecrated Virgins would have had a similar type veil, since the whimple is a recent in history invention.
In Jerusalem, the city, i saw quite a few women,Arabs and Orthodox Jews, with the same hair covering, only usually black.
ALSO, its more practical for the Sisters to remove etc, the ones who work in Public buildings(Since in France Religious/Priests cannot wear habits, clerics etc, in State places like Hospitals, Govt. Agencies, Schools etc), and one Sister is a Doctor, others teachers etc.
PAX

It kind of looks like a snood.

I have one, and it is good for doing work in.

you know, i wanted to ask you to post pictures of a certain order of nuns...i mean community. but, i can't think of the name. it's not the title of the community, it's the name itself! i had seen that word on PM, but i can't find the thread where i found it. it's not capuchin, or dominican...but something i've never heard of. oh well, i'll try to remember the name.
