Hi to everybody, I've got new pics!
These are the Little Brothers of Jesus Caritas (piccoli fratelli di jesus caritas) a semi-monastic contemplative/active community founded in the charism of bl.Charles de Foucolud in Spello (Italy) in 1969 and recognized in 1997.
The Little Brothers of the community «Jesus Caritas» consecrate their lives to the love of God and of all men, to the practice of evangelic counsel, to continuous prayer. The community lives and works in the local Church, in communion with the bishop, with the presbyters, deacons, and with all people of God.

awesome! yeah we actually just got a letter from him today. he has spend some time now at their monastery in israel and spend some time traveling all over the Holy Land as they are permitting because once he joins then he will no longer be allowed that grace! he loves life at the monastery. he loves having such a simple, beautiful life...but yet focused more on joy and love instead of the austerity or sobriety of the Carthusians. and greatest of all...having Jesus present in his hermitage!!! interestingly enough, Fr. Seraphim has read most of Fr. Philippe's works so he is able to guide my brother and understands the philosophy where my brother is coming from very well which is of course a huge blessing for him during this time of discernment!

actually the BRothers of Bethlehem have a strong Philosophical communion, understanding of the human person.. and history with St John Community. since their Founder was a Dominican Nun, and knew Fr Phillipe, as well, Brother Agapito was at St Jodard (when i was there),as a Brother of Bethlehem 'formature', to do study with us, so he could return to Israel to teach in the 'novitiate', as well, the Sisters listen to tapes of Philo. sessions of Brothers of St John.
actually wheh i was at Brothers of beth;lehem, the Assunption etc. , in Mt Corona in Italy, thier supetrior sated that he thought the Brothers of St John had the best intellectual/relgious formation in the Church...er sumthin to that effect. its kinda odd cause the Bros. of Bethlehm come /live within a historic Greek platonic ..eastern even Russia outlook, environment prayerlife, yet Bros of St John are/were almost opposite and very Thomist.
-
Did you see the thread about the new documentary on the Bros of Beth. in Israel, and France, that i have in the Bethlehem Sisters thread?

oh my goodness no! i hadn't seen that! thank you! my mom is gonna be so excited...we just got "into great silence" so that our family might have some idea of what he was getting into. but as similar as they are, the carthusians are quite different in many respects. so glad they have something on their life coming out! how exciting!
