Hey guys. I was out at the wedding this evening so I wasn't able to post.

Anyway, I'm glad this post has gotten some attention. If for no other reason than to call to mind that some are feeling a little attacked. And, even if some people don't agree, we should all be mindful of other's feelings, especially our phamily. Again, I love all of you.

Okay, that ph on Father totally threw me...I read that as panther, and I was wondering why you were calling him Panther. :hehehe:
this thread is about me, isn't it?

Well, your name did come up...

(But I defended you, don't worry :flowers: )
No "maybe" about it, that is definitely why. Haha. :)
I have posted in friendlier forums before, but they had a much smaller number of people, so that may have something to do with it. I've also posted on much nastier forums before. It was scary there, I didn't stay long!
Smaller size probably has something to do with it. Although, I get bored on forums that are too small (PM is the only one I've stuck with for any significant amount of time), and I've seen those get nasty. It really depends on the people that are there (or here). I mean, we all have unique personalities and people come and go over time, and that's going to change the overall disposition of the phorum.

Ash Wednesday

I would agree with Iacobus -- it's tamer at the moment now than it was at this time in 2004.

What I wouldn't do to hear another Howard Dean YEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!

Just it case anyone had any doubts about me, I do love you all. Whether you're an Obama voter, former Obama voter, Hillary voter, McCain voter, Paul voter, or you're voting for the Pope may the Lord bless and keep you. :)

I went to a funeral this evening for some guy I didn't know. I regularly go to funerals for people I don't know so I can be around people who feel like how I always feel. :sadder:

Opps, thought I was in the emo thread. Sorry.

I have decided, in order to help Phatmass that I will not vote in this American election.

That is my contribution.

The Second Reading for today struck me as having relevance to this topic.
2 Corinthians 13: 11 - 13
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Mend your ways, heed my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
13 All the saints greet you.
Dear Lord, may all us phatmassers mend our ways, and conduct ourselves in holy charity during this election year while we debate with each other. May the love of God and His peace be ever with us. Amen.

Charity and truth can never be separated, and so it is never charitable to withhold the truth from someone who needs to hear it. In other words, sometimes a Christian may have to say something that will be quite unpopular, but he must say it anyone, because he is called upon by God to be prophet in the grace of Christ Jesus, the only savior of mankind.
