ariaane Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Please watch the “Catholic News Roundup” video dated “05-11” at www.realcatholictv.com Registration and most video viewing is free. In the video, Michael Voris says: “A brief last minute update on the Notre Dame- Obama scandal. We are not at liberty to release details, but it appears that events are taking shape aimed at correcting the abuses at Notre Dame. These plans may include the cancelling of Obama’s appearance at the commencement." I also received an email notification from RealCatholicTV saying: "Dear Friend of RealCatholicTV.com, We are writing to you with a very urgent request – for prayers! Events are moving very quickly in the Catholic Church and – while we are not at liberty to disclose the full details – we have been asked to share a particular prayer request with you all. Please, watch this video; http://www.RealCatholicTV.net/vortex.php and please find time to say the prayer requested within it. It will not take much of your time, and it will really help the Catholic Church! God bless, Michael Voris ~Senior Executive Producer, RealCatholicTV.com"

HisChildForever Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Does anyone have a list of what Catholic universities are truly Catholic? I thought I found one some time ago but seemed to have lost it. I would be interested to see if my school is on there.
CatherineM Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 They may use the "out" that Obama's safety may be in danger from radical Catholics.

Although, it has slowly changed, when I was there, in the minor seminary, as an undergrad, I was more than once attacked, by the professors, for not being a "mainstream Catholic." In fact, that is why I gave up a B.A. in Religious Studies for a B.A. in English. Edited May 14, 2009 by Theologian in Training
Brother Adam Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 The Newman Guide is the best guide for Catholic Colleges

virginiancatholic Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Probably the best way to discern the Catholicity of a college you are interested in is to either visit the college yourself and observe the way of life and Catholic world view of the students and teachers, or to call and ask if you can talk to a couple students or a few faculty members. There should be no problem with this. Email works too. I hope and pray that whether or not Mr. President speaks at Notre Dame this weekend it works for the best and brings about a change of heart (in the right direction), if not in the politicians than at least in my fellow Catholics.
