fides quarens intellectum

hmm... Catholic Cuisine doesn't have anything for Saint Cecilia. :(

sugar cookies with a music note cookie cutter?
sing a few of your daughter's favorite songs or hymns as a family?
cinnamon rolls for breakfast that you could form into music notes?

thanks for checking!
i found a recipe for a martyr's chiffon dessert I'm going to try (if I can find a crown mold tomorrow!), and going to try to find a decorative harp at a craft store, and stopping by a flower shop to see if they can make a "crown" of lilies and roses.

Ever thought of making your own music box??

St. Cecilia is my confirmation saint, and someone made me a music box with a St. Cecilia prayer in it. It was one of the most creative gifts I've ever gotten. Might be a stretch though since Thanksgiving is in 2 days.

I have the book "cooking with the saints at home."
My stuff was packed up six years ago. Four years ago, all of my family's books and other stuff were packed up, so it's a long shot, but I think there may be a recipe for her. I'll look when I get home (tomorrow) to see if I can find it.

A statue of a Pilgrim triumphantly socking a savage in the stomach.

Then the same savage faithfully reading the Bible inside of a decent home, not a teepee.

Make it out of bacon. So it's edible.

You could try to write a song for her.

Simon and Garfunkel wrote a song titled "Cecilia".

You could see if there any books on Cecilia.[/quote]
Thanks for the suggestion, but I already posted about getting a book. :) Not sure I'm talented enough to write a song, either, but will have music playing, at any rate. :)
