Name Your Pet Peeves

Spem in alium

When people can't spell the word 'definitely'.

It's NOT definately, defiantly, definatly, etc.

When people use the wrong spelling of a word, such as there/they're/their or your/you're or alter/altar too/to/two or than/then (I'm a HUGE grammar freak).

Oh my word, yes. I'm a serious grammar freak.

Or it's/its, yours/your's, his/he's.

This is a bit of a weird one, perhaps, but I get most annoyed at loud chewers, particularly on public transport. I get irritated (and can't concentrate on anything else) when I'm on the train and the person behind me is eating loudly (and usually chewing in my ear). It can irk me so much sometimes that I have to move seats...or carriages  :paperbag:

When people smack their tongue constantly as they eat. Do people not realize you can literally eat and not make noise? Because apparently, I'm the only one that's figured it out.

And of course, the term "pet peeve". It just annoys the heck out of me.

Loud eaters.

People who will not turn left on a green light unless they have an arrow.

People who will not get into the intersection when turning left at a green light and just sit there like idiots as the light turns yellow and then red when it would have been perfectly legal for them to turn left after the oncoming traffic stopped.

Left lane drivers.

Drama queens.

Ultimatums.

Grown people who look like fetuses.

Aside from grammar and punctuation issues...

People who chew with their mouths open or chew so loudly that you can hear them.

When math uses the algebra.

Math that constantly wants you to find its x.

13 year old kids on Facebook who constantly make the duck face.

13 year old kids on Facebook who constantly complain about being old and not having a boyfriend.

Protestants who quote Leviticus on why you should/shouldn't do stuff.

1.  People who ask me for bonus points to bring up their grade when I give them almost 50 bonus points in a 350 point course (for which you get 50 points just by sitting in the darn seat every day).

2.  I used to have way more, but Confession has made me a better person whether I wanted it or not.
