Pumpkin pie = an abomination in the sight of the Lord.

Anyone who puts vegetables into dessert (carrot cake, onion cake, pumpkin pie, squash pie) is simply not trying, and must be banned and then sent to culinary school.

Vegetable desserts are allowed only during periods of national economic depression, in which case vegetable-based desserts are better than no desserts at all.

I had my pumpkin pie with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and it was (of course) delicious! Plus, I can enjoy leftover pie for the next few days.

Squash pie sounds good, and pineapple pie as well!

Someone needs palate training.

Maybe so, but for now I'm satisfied with my uncultivated palate. ;)

All fruit/vegetable pies: Blech.

Chocolate. That is what cultured people eat.

Oh yea.  Chocolate pie is the best one of all the pies.
