Personally, I was gonna watch it, especially because of the Catholic elements of it, but after reading that review right before its release (some months ago), I decided not to watch it, because of its disrespect of Catholic religious, in having a friar sidekick who commited adultery (played by David Wenham, who was Fr. Damin de Veuster in Molokai).

The character is funny, and sort of innocent when it starts out, then you see this, your like stuck between, hehehe [character], and WHAT THE HELL!? [lines]. I cant explain it.

Exactly.

I was looking forward to the movie. Though after hearing about the Anti-Catholic content and the USCCB review, I decided not to go.
