A quick search of VS suggested (but didn't definitively demonstrate) that this Order hasn't yet been given PM-VS airtime. So...clicky clicky.

The world can't have too many people in perpetual adoration :) Lord only knows we need it!

Love and prayers,

PP

I believe some of these sisters live near me ( well, in my state anyway ), but they dont wear that habit, they wear a red suit, I think. Has anyone discerned them?

If it's New Hampshire, it's more than likely the Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood, Daughters of Mary Immaculate.

That should be the American cloisters for women page. Scroll down until you find them.

No, Gemma, these sisters have a different foundress... looks like a great community though!

The Nuns of Perpetual Adoration spoken of in the first post were founded by Mother Magdalen in Mexico. Their houses are in SF, CA; and El Paso, TX. They recently founded a house in Alaska. They are an international community, with the lion's share being in Mexico.

The Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood, Daughters of Mary Immaculate, were founded in Quebec by Mother Catherine Aurelie (I have a bunch of devotional items--including relics--of hers).

Both orders wear white tunics, red scapulars and black veils. The Precious Blood sisters have an option where their habit is concerned. Some can wear just a red vest over a white dress. Others wear red vest and skirt combo with white blouse. Others have retained the red scapular.

Then, to add to the confusion, there's also the convent of perpetual adoration in Wexford, Ireland. Those nuns wear a white tunic, red scapular, and black veil.

Don Orione's Blind Sacramentine nuns wear the same thing, only with a small medallion on the scapular, where the monstrance is on the Nuns of PA's scapular.

Amazing, huh?

Blessings,
Gemma

I know, they really are cool. I love difference color habits, like the Pink Sisters. Not that the Dominican, Franciscan or Carmelite aren't cool ( 'cause they are! ) but I like to see the occational colorful, unique one
