This is a statistical political-economical ideology examination/test. The results are not perfect and may not reflect one’s personal opinions, and it may surprise some to where this automated examination would place them. They ask test takers not to read too much of the “analysis” before the test to help avoid contamination of the results. The results will come in two dimensions. A chart... Set aside a little bit of time for the test.

I have fun periodically taking this and thought others might too. This isn’t necessarily about “party” or “religion” affiliation. Friendly discussion and comments welcomed. We hopefully will approach others with tolerance, temperance, understanding, and maybe acceptance concerning results. This is "open mic” after all. Feel free to post results. I want to know how everyone else does, namely Dust...

Enjoy...

We did this when I was at school and then made our own graph to see where everyone in the class stood i relation to each other. As far as I can remember, the Pope was one of the famous people they had in there. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Economic Left/Right: -1.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.67

Lower left, in the green Liberal/Libertarian quadrant, more Libertarian than Liberal, but neither very far in. I think this actually represents being extreme in all kinds of directions and it just gets averaged out to nearly-centrist. :D

I was in the area around Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, except more north towards authoritarian. Wonder where Mother Teresa would have been?

:camp: I remember in High School my little dot being lower and more to the center. I think that I am answering something wrong/diffrently... My High School Government teacher called me a "nut", indirectly. When seeing my dot on the board he laughed and asked who that weirdo was. I don't remember if I raised my hand or not.

It is liberating to see so many others scoring with such libertarian scores; so far...

Apparently I'm a Communist? I thought I was a good old-fashioned centrist.

Madame Vengier

I have to admit, I don't really get this. Best I can tell I'm a leftist libertarian--along with Mandela, Ghandi and the Dalai Lama. This is strange because I believe the vast majority of my answers would be considered "conservative, right-leaning". I can't figure out how to post the graph without creating a link which I don't feel like doing. Basically my red dot is in the green part but way up high, almost touching the red part above it, and slightly to the right of the purple part. Here's the written part:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.77

Mr. Catholic Cat's graph below is the closest to what mine looks like, but the red dot is straight up a little higher, very close to the red part.

Yeah, me too! But I'm pretty straight conservative and you're always joking that you're partly "pinko". I really don't get how the results are reached in this test.

Apparently I'm a Communist? I thought I was a good old-fashioned centrist.
I would think a “communist” would score a higher “Authoritarian” score. Unless you are a peace loving, Pope loving, pro-freedom communist. I may have it all confused though.

As I mentioned before the results are not perfect, some questions I have to admit I could answer differently pending on my floating mood. For example I would rather disagree with their question on abortion because I would prefer direct abortion be always illegal, but I don’t think that’s how they want me to interpret the question.

Your numbers were freakishly close to the numbers I got. I've had close to a thousand hours of mediation training, and you learn to recognize your biases so that they don't affect your officiating. I tend to be obnoxiously moderate because of that, but when answering a quiz like this, the underlying parts of my personality come to the surface.
