I went to the retreat this weekend with the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus in Milwaukee, WI and loved every minute of it. I hated having to return home and when I woke up this morning, I was sad that I wasn't there. Sr. Immaculata, the Superior of the house, offered me an application yesterday on the way to the airport, so I emailed her this morning to ask her to please mail it to me! I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I asked St. Therese for a rose if I was called there. I had forgotten about that prayer until I saw my pictures last night. [img]http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp178/carmeliteheart726/answeredprayer.jpg[/img] Plus, I had goosebumps when the Sisters put on their mantles for Sunday Mass. I almost cried in Adoration several times. I wanted a picture in front of the Blessed Sacrament, and I didn't know whether to take it because two Sisters were there as well. Sr. M. Zachary got up and asked if I wanted a picture! Can you think of a better answer! Each and every one of those Sisters are my family now. I love them very much. Please pray for them! And please pray for me that this application process brings me much peace if it is God's will. God bless you! I too just got back from a Vocation Retreat where I had chances to talked to Sisters, Brother, Priests, and seminarians. ( I am male discerning to enter seminary for priesthood). I had great opportunity to talk to a Carmelite Brother (who will be ordained soon), he is awesome. I really love the spirituality of this Religious Order. God bless.
