I think you missed the whole purpose of my post... as i was addressing the "But tight pants [b]will probably not[/b][u][/u] get the same kind of attention if the woman is wearing a long shirt or sweater with them"

Probably not means they still might, and if tight pants still might get the same attention, then that's not ok.

If you'd like to rephrase your comment and say "tight pants [b]will not [/b][u][/u]get the same kind of attention if the woman is wearing a long shirt or sweater with them." then that is different.


Either way the last part of my above post still stands. Our opinions vary. My opinion is not outrageous or irrational, so even if you disagree, do so respectfully.

My sentence was a complete thought. You addressed only a piece of that thought, and that piece was not meant to stand on its own.

I addressed a certain part of that complete thought that made an important distinction between something being possible and something being a matter of fact. Regardless of if it was meant to stand on its own, it was certainly not a point of semantics.

Note: This next sentence is not directed towards modesty or anything else in this thread and is only being used as an example: There is a big distinction between something that [b]might not[/b] be sinful and something that [b]is not [/b]sinful.

Looking back I don't see anything blatantly disrespectful. My apologies. Maybe I just read into it, but as you have said yourself, your posts can often have a belligerent tone. I think the "thank you very much" that you added to one of your comments is what set me off. Obviously you were not thanking me very much for my remarks, so it could have been the sarcasm that I felt was disrespectful.
